Berserk - God Hand - underpainting

Hope you're doing well! Here's the next step in the God Hand painting - the underpainting. I use this as a basic color rough in so that I can paint on top and get all the correct values/colors in place before rendering the final. Also, for this piece I've taken some liberties with Slan as I've never seen the anime of Berserk and only know of her from the beginning of the manga series & the eclipse where she is clearly dark skinned, I personally prefer this look so I went with my instincts on what she may have been intended to look like. The rest of the cast are fairly straight forward though. Anyway, I'm excited to get started on the final painting!

yes, the underpainting was done in PS, only because it's a bit quicker with large brushes and has more adjustment options for colors and things.
