Like you said, I wasn't as bothered with the proportions in person. At least with the Onslaught/torso. It took me a while to get by the big Brawl leg next to the skinny Swindle leg though. I do find it interesting how they acknowledged the Onslaught to Blast Off ratchet but felt all the other ratchets were fine. I don't regret going in on this, but I might pass on their Defensor.
