When I first started looking into one of the Koopalings to create, I was instantly drawn to Larry. I really like his style with his wild blue hair. But what made me even more excited when creating him is the plan to create the whole family eventually. So be prepared to see more Koopalings arrive in the next months.

Dimensions:

• Larry stands approximately 7.5 inches (190mm) tall at 100% scale. Scaling up should be fine, but if you plan to scale down, the eyes and claws may need extra attention.  

Colors Used:

• Elegoo: Matte White, Black, Red, Matte Sunshine Yellow, Sky Blue (eyes and hair). Beige, Dark Blue (shell rings)

• Elegoo PLA Pro: Light Blue (shell and star)

• Geeetech: Grey

• Creality Hyper PLA: Green

Printing Tips:

• Apply a glue stick to the print bed for better adhesion.

• Supports: Required for the body, (make sure to add supports under the tail), for the right hand, star, green head, blue hair, mouth, white shell.

• Rafts: Use for the star, green head, blue hair, chest, mouth, black eyes, white eyes and teeth.

• Variable layer height: For the yellow body and green head.

Assembly Tips:

• I have included a folder for smaller pieces, if the tolerances don’t work for you.

• The blue spike rings that go on the shell are not shaped like a perfect circle, so pay attention how they fit.

• The white spikes on the black bracelets are slightly elongated towards the edge. They can be pressed in but should be glued if they will be handled frequently.

Assembly Steps:

• Glue in the beige chest to the body

• Glue in the claws to the feet.

• Glue on the white shell, followed by the blue shell, then attach all the dark blue spike rings, then glue in the beige shell spikes.  

• Build the L and R bracelets with the spikes.

• Glue on the claws to the hands.

• Insert the hand pegs into the hands then bracelets and then body.

• Build the wand, gluing the red part on, then slide it into the right hand.

• Glue the beige face to the green head.

• Insert the blue star, pressing all the way down, onto the green head.

• Glue in the R and L teeth.

• Build the eyes, ensuring you pay attention the L and R pieces. The insert them into the face.

• Glue on the head to the body with the head pin

• Insert the blue hair.
