Free month of October (Duh!)

This is my usual monthly post about me not charging you on the 1st of next month...How many months haven I not charged you guys already? 4?

So because we got a lot of new resident doctors here at the ICU, senior residents had to take over most the night shifts. So I had a whole month of night shifts to do. I cannot count the number of times I just wanted to lie down and die! On top of that, the second corona wave hit Germany hard, so I we had to work even longer hours to provide for the ever growing number of the corona-patients. I don't want to bore you with details but it doesn't look good! We just don't have enough personnel (despite having a lot of beds) and the spirits of the colleagues are low. Mine included. I have been coming home only to sleep, nothing more. My apartment and myself have become a dump.

So how can this get better? Well, my city is locking down in November, so I'm hoping for the workload to sink. I've also reduced my official working hours starting from 2021 to avoid burning out and spend more time(or ANY time at all, at this point lol)doing what I love - drawing!

Yet again I'm dreaming of how wonderful my life would be if I could draw comics for a living instead of doing such an underappreciated job. But being in the profession as long as I have you grow a sense of duty and attachment and it just isn't that easy to leave.
