I'll be saying this in the site commentary, too, but I like to think Kitty's rampage is such that she's actually earning new spells as she goes, hence how she got that result with Carol.

She didn't HAVE to get that result with Carol due to getting new magic. Being ABLE to do that was the consequence. It's not "consequently, this happened", it's "consequently, she was able to make this happen". I'm rewording it several ways, but just "hence getting that result" seems to imply more of a default state for her spell and seems just less clear in general, hence I genuinely disagree with your counsel here.

I ask you to not contribute to this growing problem of using words without considering their meaning. A better way to put that last part of the sentence would be "hence getting that result with Carol."
