Updated Milestones
Added 2015-12-01 17:40:44 +0000 UTCI increased the steps in the sequence in the 3.5k milestone from 4 to 5 (because, thinking on it, I want that middle step), and added some additional overly optimistic milestones because I figured I may as well.
The 4k and 4.5k milestones make it so whatever gets 2nd place in the single and double character polls, respectively, will also get drawn. The 5k milestone is the same as the 3.5k one, but with two characters instead of one.

They've been tinkering with the interface lately. I believe that is a recent change, and I suspect it wasn't intentional.

2015-12-02 02:35:06 +0000 UTCYeah, I think I probably did vote previously, but I didn't see the hearts lit up and assumed I hadn't. So, maybe just a display glitch. I could swear they worked before though.

2015-12-02 02:32:06 +0000 UTCThey've been working when I test them, but they don't stay red when you revisit the page. Also, you can remove a "like" if you don't leave the page, but once you've left the page, you can't undo the like. When you try to undo it, it looks like you've liked it again, but the total likes remain unchanged when you visit again. Based on this, I figure either there's some manner of error, or you already voted, and what you're seeing is a second vote that's not actually being counted. Either way, I think they need to fix something with their system. Even if there isn't an error keeping some likes from counting, it really should make clear which comments you've already liked.

2015-12-01 23:48:11 +0000 UTCIs anyone else finding that their votes won't "stick" on the character polls? E.g. there are 36 likes on a poll choice, I hit Like and take it to 37. I go back to the poll page later and it's back to 36.
