EDIT: I edited this earlier to fix a missing "an," and it all went wrong somehow? The comic itself went missing entirely, as did the message I wrote about it?
I'm not sure how I (or Patreon?) managed that, but the fact that the comic image itself wasn't there for a bit is why I'm notifying Patrons about this change.
Commentary
- "Yeah? (Running games) is easy"
Ellen didn't actually have an enlightening moment of "this is actually more difficult than I remembered," particularly given that she already knew running games can be difficult under different circumstances.
But Rich never got an acknowledgement of that, so Ellen stealthily throws one out there.

As mentioned in the previous commentary, I'm not decided on what to do next, so I'm not ready to say when EGSNP will return. My intention is a break between one and two weeks (no more, no less). If for some reason it takes longer, I will speak up about why.

Socializing is not entirely foreign to him, but he keeps his trusty game in his hand, ready to immerse himself in a world he understands at a moment's notice. This wasn't just his normal dipping his toes in the pool of social contact, this was a full on social experience and it wasn't bad. Back when I was George, this would have been a huge win for me. Admittedly, I didn't have a gameboy or anything like that. What I had instead was campaign worlds to work on at a moment's notice. There wasn't an outward device that people would look at and see "Some Ed's not with us anymore." I was a teenager in the age of the Gameboy, and people got beat up for having those and using them in public in my town. Admittedly, I wasn't quite as much of a loner as George. I did play D&D, but before college my D&D group consisted of my siblings and their friends. Getting socially abused during a D&D game night was par for the course. There were never any girls there, at least not who presented as such at the time. This was a game without any of that, and with girls there. Sure, those girls are an item and not interested as far as they've admitted to anyone in having any additional company. That wouldn't have mattered. If the woman of my dreams had been at any of my TTRPG sessions and had been amorous towards me, still nothing would've happened because I had too much baggage I was figuring out how to deal with from before. I wouldn't be surprised to learn George has stuff he's working through also.
