I think it's the smile; that is a very Susan expression imo.

I read this strip on the site earlier today and if you hadn’t pointed out this was Dianne here I would have continued to think it was Sarah. And normally the haircut doesn’t throw me off (other than personally just thinking it’s an unattractive haircut XD) so this particular drawing must be really ambiguous.

The very last episode of Kim Possible highlighted that, unlike the people she replaced, she does not charge exorbitant prices for saving the day. Instead, she asks for future favors, such as transportation to the next person that needs saving.

Hm, given the inspiration, I'm hoping for a scene of Nanase wearing a leotard-cut wetsuit. Hey, it was in ONE of the Tomb Raider games.

Independently wealthy, yes, but an easy way to lose wealth is to spend it frivolously, and just keeping the mansion and its staff would be costly (with taxes once again playing a factor). Granted, additional sources of income due to owning parts of companies or whatever would undoubtedly help, but I could see an adventurous treasure hunter digging themselves into a financial hole.

I couldn't remember right now to save my life, but I swear there's a character who *did* in fact wear a leotard instead of a top, and wore short pants on top of it so if you didn't look closely you could mistake it for a tank top...

It's been many years since I last played the original Tomb Raider (the only one I ever played far enough to know what was going on), but I was under the impression Lara was canonically independently wealthy; that mansion in the tutorial mode had to come from somewhere.

Conveniently left out of (or at least glossed over by) most adventure tales is the fact that adventurers are typically independently wealthy parasites on the working man.

It's a trick of the surrounding greys. Rhoda's greyscale skintone is RGB 240-240-240, and those shirts are 232-232-232, so the shirt being slightly darker and both being lighter than the background make her skin look relatively lighter than normal in general. I myself wound up double-checking her skin tone because of that, but it is what it's supposed to be.

That makes sense, but I had thought that Rhoda was darker-skinned than that.

Lol, of course Dan would point out the logical hiccups of adventure archaeology XD

I love the fact Dan (via Nanase) pointed out that stuff is expensive.

I used to think that was what Lara was actually wearing, so that's what Nanase gets.

Huh... I hadn't noticed during her last strip, but is Nanase wearing a leotard or swimming costume instead of a tank-top? Certainly more practical for any acrobatics...

Oh, that is hilarious. :) Between this and the promise of future zappiness, I think I'm going to love this storyline.
