This ISN'T fan fiction written by one of the characters in the comic itself?! How can this...
Wait. If a character in the comic writes fiction about other characters in the comic, is that fan fiction, or is that just them weirdly writing stuff about their friends?
...
Note to self: Have someone do that in the future, but change the character names so it's apparent they don't realize what they're doing and/or are trying to hide it.

2019-08-23 20:45:59 +0000 UTCI think in-universe fiction could count as "fanfiction" rather than just creepy fantasies if and only if it was about a character's in-universe persona, rather than the person themself; kind of like how it would just be fanfiction to make up your own stories about Iron Man from the MCU, but weird to write fiction about Robert Downey Jr. The most obvious candidate is Cheerleadra, but at a stretch it could maybe also work for ace-detectives Ellen and Nanase, or even internet-movie-critics Elliot and Susan.
