I'm not saying it's universally believed one can just do whatever they want so long as they give money to churches, but I'm not saying it's universally NOT believed, either.
Susan will follow her own morality. And indulge in simulated nonsense, because it is simulated, and it is nonsense.
I had so much fun with the poses and faces in this comic. I mean, drawing nostrils was weird, but I'll try almost anything once. It's why I have to donate so much gold to churches.
A blacksmith in Skyrim always says "gods be praised" when you ask to see what they have for sale, and it never fails to amuse me. It just sounds to me like he really needs a sale, and he's just "oh my gods yes this is actually happening".
And then I sell him iron daggers with the banish enchantment on them, after which he's broke.
