She said earlier that she had used potions to level up too (#50 in answer to 'how so strong', and 'why not Basketballs'), so it's possible that without the potion effects she only ever gained the one level. I guess she should have gained some XP in the last cave, but then again if she was 'maxed' I guess she couldn't level up any further.

Huh. That is true. To be fair, it would be looser, but it IS looser than it should be.

It's not intended to be clear yet. Susan herself will express confusion in the next strip. It's the eventual explanation that's relatively simple.

I agree with a lot of commenters, here. You really failed to properly convey what's happening via "Cheats Off". Even *if* Susan had been cheating, which she wasn't, the only thing that's *like* cheating was her appearance potions. But turning those off would *not* have done what we see on this page.

She only has cosmetic potions active. She's actually level 5 in all stats, and is using potions just to make herself not actually *look* like she's level 5 in everything.

huh, but none of those changes were cheats. horns and hair was due to karma, and length and boobs due to level. In fact, she stated she used potions to reduce her breasts (because otherwise they would be beachballs). Seems more like a "reset to default".
