Commentary
My original plan was for Susan to successfully recruit a whole ton of generic NPCs, but the more I thought about it, the less sense it made that it would actually work.
Fortunately, I like this better.
Panel four didn't start out as an intentional My Hero Academia reference ("I am here" is the catchphrase of a main character, and appending a description to it a recurring joke), but then I realized what I had written, considered who was saying it, and it became an INTENTIONAL My Hero Academia reference, darn it!

2020-12-27 15:51:37 +0000 UTCI think part of the joke is that its hard to tell that he's hurt cause of the cowl. Also, note that its a flat statement, not a question. He's not so much hurt, as he is that he's annoyed with himself for not seeing that she didn't trust him.

But I personally feel like it's likely most of his claims of voter fraud stem from his efforts to conduct voter fraud himself, which were stymied because people used mail in ballots rather than rigged electronic voting machines. (This is not the place to discuss this; I am merely stating my own feelings that is all.) In this case, Not Arthur is hurt that Susan didn't trust him, as it prevented him from doing something to show he wasn't worthy of her trust. I don't particularly feel bad for him. If he wanted to be trusted, he should have been more trustworthy. He didn't take that route. Through this whole story, he's been depicted as assuming Susan's trust, rather than doing anything to gain it or prove himself worthy of it.
