Commentary
Were this adapted into an anime, these four panels would be stretched out into a single episode (minus six minutes of opening credits and recaps). Approximately twenty-five percent of it would be reaction shots of various characters.
Panel two wasn't a super duper ultra mega challenge, but it was a challenge. This was mostly because of Jay's pose, as I had a certain angle to her posture in mind relative to the unicorn, and I had trouble getting that and making it look like Jay was on the offensive.
Fortunately, she's a magic user, so ultimately I could get away with "okay, this would be a bad pose for an attack, but you've got to remember that her hands on fire."

Stephen Gilberg said "DBZ" and kaitou said "DB*" which I believe includes DBZ. For what it's worth, I haven't really watched any of the rest of Dragon Ball, in part because of over 9000, and pretty much everything that directly led up to that. But more importantly, the focus on fighting was way over the top. I tend to prefer things like EGS where people actually sometimes communicate and thus avoid fighting. From the references I've seen to the rest of Dragon Ball, it sounds like that aspect is still there, along with the ever more powerful forms.
