Important Poll - Regarding our future update schedules
Added 2020-10-09 14:47:55 +0000 UTCSome of you may remember we had a similar poll like this last month, centered around whether we should skip the November update and go big on the December update instead. Frankly, the results shocked me, so here we are doing this poll today. Would you prefer us to deliver our regular monthly updates which feature two scenes per month, or shift to a bi-monthly schedule that will allow us to deliver consistently bigger updates, four to give scenes.
We think the bi-monthly schedule would work better for the following reasons:
1. This puts less pressure on our team, especially the artist. It's hard to really get that creativity flowing when you're constantly under pressure to meet a deadline at the end of the month. A two-month deadline allows us more time to get it right without rushing ourselves. You still get the same amount of scenes at the end of the two months, but you likely get them at a far higher quality.
2. In the upcoming poll with our High Tier Supporters ($20 or more), we'll be discussing the possibility of removing one of the grayscales on the bi-monthly schedule and replace it with a reward picture or scene that will be released along with the Next Version of the game if no one leaks the current version of MT within 7 days of its initial release.
We hope that this picture/scene would incentivize people to not leak our game at least 7 days after our initial release because our game's survival depends on it.
In short, if our High Tier supporters are okay with only getting one bi-monthly grayscale, we'll be adding an extra picture or even an entire extra scene to MT if no one leaked the game 7 days after release. That move essentially benefits everyone involved.

I think if other devs with 1k supporters can do it, we can do it :p

2020-10-10 02:38:56 +0000 UTCI don't put VNs out on other sites and it would be great to be rewarded for that. I, sadly, am less certain that the entire community would abide by your quite reasonable request. Piracy can kill great VN's and deprive Patreons of voices that we are happy to support. I'll PM you and hope that there is a way to preserve this VN from piracy for at least 7 days.

2020-10-09 20:55:53 +0000 UTCHey no worries! I’m glad you offered me a chance to clearing things more! And yeah I would personally be really a shamed if we start taking it for granted because I failed at explaining this in a clear way to our supporters. Look forward to delivering more and more for MT.

2020-10-09 16:16:54 +0000 UTCI’m glad you brought it up so I can get another chance to clarify things a bit. Firstly we are not asking for no leaks at all, just seven days after our initial release and it’s very realistic if you look at the the dev of Game Of Whores. Secondly, I’d say you’d be totally right if the grayscale arts are a part of our promised Monthly MT contents. But they are not. As I explained since day one, the artist is drawing grayscale arts for us free of charge during their weekends purely out of good will and none of us, should take it as granted. I’m not paying for any of them, and they are not in our contract/agreement. It is not fair and even cruel for the artist for us to consider the grayscale art as something we are entitled to, cuz they are not. So, I don’t think considering not getting this reward art which is done by our artist purely out of goodwill thus something we are not entitled to any sort of punishment. Finally, the team and I wants to create a mutually beneficial situation here, and we are putting faith in all of our supporters. I know there will be leaks but please, for this project and team to survive, please just wait for 7 days so everyone could be happy in this circumstances.

2020-10-09 16:08:31 +0000 UTCI'm not on the 20$ tier but i think the conditional of "no leaks" is not very realistic. Let's face it pirates will always pirate and they will do it sooner than later. I feel like punishing your paying supporters with less content because someone leaked is not the way to go, at the end of the day the vast majority of them don't have any fault on leaks and they can't even do anything to stop it, so you're putting them at fault for something they aren't even involved in. Of course you guys do whatever you want but i felt like i'd share my thoughs with you.
