Workstation went ka-plooey

Well, I knew this was coming. My main rendering computer has given up the ghost. It's been gradually slowing down of late, and now it barely works at all. I generally have a brand new super duper computer built about every 6-7 years, and it's about on schedule. It's running so slow that I'm even having trouble posting the "emergency" renders I keep in reserve for when I can't work on anything. The financial cost of this build is gonna be tight, but I think it'll make for better material.

The good news is that I'm in the process of ordering a replacement that, if my calculations are correct, will increase my render speeds significantly. Worst case scenario, it'll be twice as fast; best case, who knows. So, please allow a couple of weeks for parts ordering, the big build, and the process of re-installing all the programs and recreating the registries and whatnot -- not looking forward to that, AT ALL.

In the meantime, I've been working on some fiction. Good news: The joint story that genre goddess Rebecca Lawe and I dreamt up and toss back and forth between us is going to be a NOVEL and is already 70 pages long. SEVENTY. And it's literally just getting started. I'm going to work with some folks about illustrations for it.

I also have the next audiobook coming in soon; I got an update form the main MKU voice actress last night and she is recording it today. It's a tasty tale about an MKU character by the great Martin Kane, so expect that one to arrive soon.... with a lots of action and a gigantic body count. :)

I also have some Thumper art from not one but TWO artists coming soon, to accompany a new short story featuring everyone's favorite lethal attack bunny.

New animations and videos should be up and running and posted by mid-February. I'll try to find some MKU-specific art and fiction pieces to fill the time between then and now.
