Added 2024-02-28 23:03:15 +0000 UTCAfter an entire month of waiting, all the parts for the new MKU render machine are here. It'll take a little while to get it put together and all the necessary software installed (not looking forward to that process). Then I'll let everybody know how much faster than the old system it is.
In the meantime, I tried piecing together the audiobook on my malfunctioning old render machine, and all it did was crash. So I'm going to post a couple of Martin Kane stories (I think it can handle editing text only), and I'm officially promising everyone an extra-special BIG month of March with lots of content made on the newly minted computer. I'm sorry it's taking so long to regain my rendering, composition, and editing abilities. I knew it was coming, but the need for it came way sooner than I thought and this stupid parts retailer had epic shipping problem after epic shipping problem.

Me too. It would be hard to imagine how a single computer could be any faster. Everything is pretty much top of the line. Fastest chip, m.2 drives and SSDs, fastest graphics card, a ridiculous amount of RAM, etc etc. My fingers are crossed cuz I'll be paying for it for at least a year.
