When Geto tries to steal Togiโs cursed spirit (the one holding all his weapons) it gets rejected, because he canโt take a curse thatโs bonded to a person. And in the movie thatโs the logic everyone base his abilities off of. They donโt think heโs trying to take Yutaโs curse. But when Toji dies, we see the curse crawl towards him. And in the movie, we see him use Tojis exact curse. Meaning that he canโt steal a binded curse spirit unless he kills the curse user. I think they say that in the movie, but itโs just interesting to see when he first discovers it.
