Weekly Status Report: 2025/08/17 to 08/23

It was audio editing hell this week for me, but I'm nearly done with the first round of it, then I can do all my re-records in one go.

I split the work into six "chapters" that will come together as one video in the end. This makes it easier to edit. I did the same thing when editing PaRappa. As of now, here are the estimated times of each "chapter" with all audio edited so far:

Chapter 1: Intro and M.U.S.C.L.E., ~35 minutes
Chapter 2: Ultimate Muscle (1998-2002), ~1 hour, 25 minutes
Chapter 3: Ultimate Muscle (2003), ~41 minutes

The other chapters will hopefully be edited down today. They consist of the following, the time listed being how much unedited audio there is:

Chapter 4: Ultimate Muscle (2004-2011), ~25 minutes
Chapter 5: The Return of M.U.S.C.L.E. and Ultimate Muscle (Late 2000's-2023), ~15 minutes
Chapter 6: Fan Translations, Perfect Origin Arc Anime, and the Future (2008-now), ~32 minutes

As you can see, there's only about 72 minutes of audio left to trim down. From what I've noticed, of every unedited chunk of recordings, I usually end up using roughly half of it, so once this is cut down, it'll probably be about 36 minutes, meaning the current estimated length of the Kinnikuman episode is 3 hours and 17 minutes... And you thought PaRappa was long. My goal will be to have the video be around or under three hours, meaning I may need to make some sacrifices that will become YouTube Shorts or Patreon-only extras. There will be outtakes as always.

This may fluctuate, though, as there continues to be new info. There were two new discoveries thanks to MatthewPaul on the 4Kids Flashback server: Sam Riegel voiced Road Rage in episode 18 and Andrew Rannells voiced young Jaeger ("Jeagar" as 4Kids spelled the name). The good news is this gave me an excuse to add an Ace Attorney joke.

I will get this whole video out before the end of summer no matter what. The official last day of summer is September 22nd, so I want to be technically on time lol, but once this is out, this will officially be the least amount of episodes of EVF in a year but also, if I'm not mistaken, the most content I've put out by runtime in a year. I still want to do two more episodes this year, but that may end up only being one (Project Mike). I'm sure you all will understand if that ends up being the case.
