Patreon Billing Update

By now you’ve more than likely seen some other creators mention it. Patreon has been forced to make changes to their business model. This is to comply with Apple’s App Store policies.
To make it short, Apple takes 30% of all transactions done on their apps and through their App Store. So if you’ve wanted to subscribe to Patreon creators through the iOS app, Apple wants their cut too.
If you've been interested in joining, or reviving a pledge, I would advise against using the iOS Patreon app for your pledge. Instead, log on to your phone’s browser instead, and subscribe through the Patreon website. That will ensure that you're only paying what goes to the creator, without an extra fee going toward Apple.
New Subscription Billing
Because of Apple, Patreon has announced they are changing toward a subscription billing system. This means that any new pledges joining will be renewed every month on the same day they pledged. This is instead of my current system, where the date would fall on the current first of the month system. Now, if you were to pledge today on August 15th, your next payment will be September 15th.
This change does affect how I’ve been running the page. I try my best to keep to a consistent schedule for both the polls and doodles for the higher tiers. For now, if you were to pledge past those tier's dead lines, you’ve missed it for that month.
I don't know when they're implementing that billing change, but I will update you accordingly when I have news.
It’s unfortunate these changes have happened all at once, but hopefully it can be a smooth transition for all of us. Thanks for reading this. I know it’s a long update. I wanna keep you as informed as I have information for it.
