Was pretty warmed up so everything here is very gestural - actually no, thats a lie. I warm up as I go. Theres a big difference between that first sketch and the amount of detail I needed to the ones later along.

In the second panel I just took prompto's face  from the first and enlarged it before redrawing it with more detail - It's a continuation of that expression so unless I was changing the angle there's no point wasting time.

You often hear people saying stuff like that is cheating but listen - using the tools available to you is resourcefulness. That would be like saying that you couldn't use an eraser in a pencil drawing.  People just trying to bring others down for using initiative. Nahhh.

This is how I usually draw these types of sequences - just enlarge the canvas as I go

My canvas is 5000x5000 and I sketch at 25% and draw at 33% I used to use 3000x3000 and sketch and draw at 50% and 75% respectively but I really wanted to work on drawing bigger so this has worked super well for me.

I also find it easier to draw small on the screen (Cintiq21UX) so I see almost the whole figure to avoid proportional mishaps but that option isn't available to everyone.

While drawing this I kept picking up my water bottle to see how the hands would be in this scene. Your most accessible reference is yourself.

I used transform to move and rotate Prom's head and shoulders around quite a bit to get him resting in the V of the broken table 'comfortably'

Also you can see that I changed my mind on his leg placement in the end result

The NSFW sketches will always be the better ones for process just because they take a bit more figuring out

Gladio's head is too big here - could do with being shrunk down a bit. 

I had actually saved this with the intent for it to just be the Ignis on the left but no sooner than I'd done that did I think about having a mirrored image.

And then it needed to be coloured. This whole pic was a bit of a fluke. It's easy to play around when you're warming up.
