Ghost Stories with Paulina - Whaley House Podcast Episode

Good morning moon babes. I'll be sharing some ghost stories from some of my friends and this one is with one of my best friends Paulina or as you may know her, P. Grab your favorite beverage and listen to this juicy episode.

Hey guys it's Stass back again. We're coming at you with another episode. Same day honestly, me and Paulina are driving down to go shopping and we have a lot of really cool stories that we want to talk about. So today we're gonna be talking about or honestly it's me listening to a story I've heard this story a couple of times but I swear I scream every time it's from a place that you will guys will see us hopefully tour during our little Ghost Adventures situation. But she went down there for Halloween. It's her ghost experience from the Whaley House. In what San Diego Yeah, so you'll hear me kind of like peeking in on some side things but this story is just very interesting. If you guys are familiar with the area or not I'm pretty sure you could probably look up the Whaley House. They have a bunch of cool stuff. This is Paulina and her boyfriend's experience being there.

So for Halloween, I guess last year this year, last year it was I wanted to go to the Whaley House and go do a ghost tour on Halloween. I'm like the veil is the thinness. I want to see what's going on I need to see it was gone. It was gone. disappeared. It disintegrated. So we did a full ghost tour we went to well all Old Town San Diego was like built over graves. There's a cemetery and a park. Yeah, it's crazy.

I feel like you told me this, but I always am surprised. How do they just build things over graves?

There's like little like It looks like a penny on the ground. But that's the grave market.

It looks like a penny. It's not even a penny. It's just like some type of copper.

Half the size of a penny. It's just like here's a marker of someone's grave. Like so rude.

And there's like a bunch of spirits there. Like you have to leave things for them. Otherwise Yeah, follow you. Well, you there's a little girl spirit and like one of the cemeteries that everyone leaves like a toy or candy or some money for. It's really cute. But if you don't then shame on you, I'll show fuck with you for a little bit.

And that entire night that we were down there I felt I didn't have anything in my system that night, but I felt high. I felt like my head was like Dizzy like I was like that something's weird. Like I feel like I could sense so much spiritual activity going on. But it's Halloween in a very haunted town. And we're going to end our ghost tour with the Whaley House. Oh, while we were in the park, I heard somebody whisper something into my ear. There's no one next to me. But I didn't understand what they were saying. So I was like what like, articulate your words better?

I'm sorry, I couldn't understand. Don't mumble. You're only on the other side. Annunciate ghost. Sorry, we couldn't understand that message.

It even happened to my boyfriend and he gets easily spooked. So he's panicking spiraling losing I'm like maybe you'll be fine. They're not gonna hurt you. I thought like it's a demonic entity. So we go into the Whaley House and immediately our experience is starting to take a turn and I like s when it comes to demons. I'm running with my tail tucked between my legs. Yeah. Screaming crying, gagging throwing up

So the Whaley House is multiple different rooms. There's like a playroom. There's a courthouse. There's a bar like a little least like a little speakeasy. What's like the word they basically back in the day when like alcohol wasn't legal, legal, they had alcohol there. So it's a bunch of there's a lot going on in that house. And we started the tour with going into the courthouse, they were kind of giving us a rundown. They're like, you know, just walk around, you know, experience we can get experience. And immediately this woman is like tweaked out of her mind. Something's going on. She's gurgling under her breath. I'm like, do they like actors or something?

You got paid actors in here or what?

What's going on. This guy was freaking out. She sits down in front of my boyfriend and like everyone else is like normal. There was nobody else it's kind of acting like that. So I'm like, this is freaky. She had a big old backpack and like know what's in the bag?

It was like late. It was midnight. It was almost midnight. Did horror around like 1130 at night. So it was it was spooky, spooky. So I'm immediately like my head's spinning. Like I feel like the house is rocking back and forth. I feel nauseous. I have no idea what's going on. And like Yeah, well this room is like a portal essentially. So the energy is thick and heavy and you just feel

the portal on the thinnest fucking night that you could ever be with for spirits. Everybody's coming down to say hey, what's up? It was fucked up. Oh my I will say that and so the girl in front of us is like what's Bring gurgling under her breath. Freaking me the fuck out. And when can you pick anyone else to target instead of us for the love of God? So they take us into the next room where the bar is. And they're like, Yeah, back in the prohibition, they were able to somehow get a liquor license. And then she goes, Can we burn it? And I'm like, hot and the tour guide is like, freaked out. She's like, No, like, they don't deserve it. We should burn it. And I was like, what the? Oh, because someone got this girl, and she's right next to me. She's, like, don't touch me. And so she says that I turned back to the tour guide and I see a big old like, there's a bigger man. And like, old time 1800s close with a dumb like a literal goathead Oh, like a demon head. And it was like, it was weird. Like, you could see my soul left my body I full on start sweating. I thought I was gonna pass out and I blinked and then he was gone. And for like a split second. He was right next to her. I saw him to detail and he was like this weird greenish hue no to him. And I was like, what was that? And then I started seeing things in the corner of my eye and I look at my boyfriend. I'm like, we have to leave. It's time to go.

We're leaving right now. This tour had literally just started, but I got like, you know, when your body's like panicking, that's my fight flight. Yeah, my flight kicked in and like we're going right now. And this girl kept like popping off about burning shit. Oh my goodness under her breath like, and I could feel something was definitely connected, like attachment or something. And so I go to the tour before we leave. I'm like, do you guys have paid actors are like no, like, okay. Because I don't want helter skelter over here.

Miss Beetlejuice? I don't need it. I don't need it.

I'm good. I'm good. So we leave maybe 10 minutes into the tour. I'm like, I'm not saying we should go back. Yeah.

Anastasia Bonnett 06:55

We're like we should go this year. Oh, no, that would be terrifying. Your protections will go out. We'll be protected for sure. We'll come out with all over amulets and shit. It was awful. It was so that sounds terrible. I think I really lose my mind.

I almost started crying. It was like I because I've never really seen a demon before. I've seen ghosts. I can I'm down with ghosts. They can't hurt you. But something about demons. And the reason why that house is so haunted. There was 100% some like real bad evil. Oh, yeah. And I'm in the house. I don't know if I told you should I wait to tell you like all the details?

colonized it. Essentially, it was awful.

And that land specifically was where they would do hanging. So there's already a lot of like, evil down there. Yep. Oh, they would like

people that so they're all lingering to Yeah. Oh my god.

decided like, you know what, this is a great place to build a house.

Why not? Why not? It's a nightmare inducing. This is where a lot of criminals and just people in general. This is a great place to house. I'm pretty sure they bought the land for $1. That's ridiculous. But you know, for $1 I be like, Yeah, you know? Yeah, but like, ask the spirits. You guys need anything? Can I can I make your time here any better. But this

Well, yeah, they don't like single solitary. I'll be fine. I'll be fine. The spirits aren't gonna bother me. It's severely haunted for the rest of his life.

And then A Series of Unfortunate Events kind of followed. Yeah, within that home from then on. But I'll give you more of that once we actually get to it. There's there's a lot more well,
