Herbal Series - Personal Findings & One Herb Spell

Good morning moon babes! I wanted to bring back the personal finding series and drop a few cute herbal breakdown images for your grimoires and book of shadows. I was heavilyyyy looking for more herbs that could assist with grieving and ancestral work and Helichrysum was one of the herbs I snatched up with the quickness.

I like going through ‘phases’ with herbs where i will almost hyperfixate on one herb for a certain amount of time, working with each aspect and facet that the herb offers me spirituality and health wise. I personally feel like when I complete the weeks or months with that herb that we truly become well acquainted and the herb then becomes more of a spiritual ally for myself in my practice.

Spellwork 1. With Helichrysum for rejuvenation and transformation.

Things you’ll need:

-Helichrysum herb

-Green, hot pink, or white chime candle for transformation

-Altar oil, (you can use health oil, olive oil, werewolf oil from my shop if you have it.)

-Fire proof dish

-Lighter to light candle

How To Cast

As always before spellwork make sure you divine on the outcome of the spell and if the timing ect is best for you to cast whenever you plan to do so. Spend time cleansing your home and yourself with whatever tool you prefer. If you can focus on using something that is cleansing and purifying but also has a uplifting and calling energy (lavender, camphor, jasmine, amber type incense if you are burning those or maybe a cedar or pine bundle.) 

Cleanse your hands with running cold water and allow them to air dry before your working. When I work with one herb for an extended period of time, familiarizing myself with each aspect of the herb I like to offer some to my ancestors on their altar. This allows them to aid in my understanding of the herbs spirit more and grow a better bond.

What I liike to do is quickly make my own wash with the Helichrysum to wash your candles down with before you dress your candles and cast your spell. To do this take about a tea bag sized amount in a pot with water over your stove. Put about a cup of water into the pot with your herbs and let the water come to a boil, once the water is boiling set a timer for 5 minutes then turn your stove off. Allow to cool down FULLY then wash your candles and heck even your hands and feet with the water. If you can use water on your fireproof dish that you are going to burn your candle on (if its not silver or real wood) you can wash and consecrate your dish with the water as well.

From here it is time to anoint your candle with the oil of your choosing, your full name, and then dress the candle with your Helichrysum herb. Attach your candle to your fireproof dish and dust the bottom of the dish with your Helichrysum herb. Once your candle is prepped pray over your candle for the specific elements of yourself you are looking to change and transform, if it is a total transformation go with that but if not be specific. Light your candle and recite the spell below 5 times.

Spell:

Transforming, Shedding, Changing I am ever and always evolving,

I call down the new and matured - honed in version of myself.

Rebirth, I pray to the herb of Helichrysum and my ancestors to aid in this rebirth.

No longer changed down by old habits, thoughts, or energies,

 Like a phoenix I rise from the ashes, I am my own flame

Powerful, thoughtful, kind, and eternal.

So mote it be

Once your spell is complete spend some time reading the candle wax, how it flowed, if it is forming any pictures or images that stick out to you. If it does take note of that in your grimour! Dispose of your wax and clear your cleanse your altar space / wherever you cast the spell with bells.

I hope you guys like the one herb post, I know they are “easy” but truly I adore these kinds of spells just as much as huge rituals with multiple layers.
