Witches Latter “Ward”

Good afternoon moon babes! I asked you guys on Patreon today about what spells you wanted to see coming the next few weeks and a lot of feedback was on wards! Both spicy and ‘normal’ wards. Today I wanted to share a simple to put together but iconic ward that you can make as spicy or banefully as you’d like OR just make it as an overall ward and omit the baneful aspect.

A Witches Latter:

These are not inherently always a ward, they can be made with any intention of your spell - today I wanted to lean on a ward so we will prepare the chord with those kinds of items and talismans for charms, but you can 100% make a self love one, money one ect just adjust the materials used. The way I am showing you is not a latter, more so a singular braid or even twist if you do not know how to braid, it is fairly simple to craft so if you want to make different shapes or pop off with the braiding skills please do!

What You’ll Need:

-Three or more types of chord, yarn, hair, jute, ect. Three types of fabric / material or three colors. I like using different colors depending on the spell.

-Charms

-Hypnosis oil

-Fiery wall of protection oil 

-Camphor oil or tabs - you can also use camphor incense if you have them

-Breaks all incense, or incense that align with protection

-Florida water

How To Cast:

For this setup the cleanse depends on if you are doing a baneful ward or not, if baneful do NOT cleanse your home, sweep or gather the energy into either an object that you will then tether onto your ladder that we will charm to blow back on the people who hit your wards.

If you are not doing a banefull ward cleanse your home / space from the very back through the front door entirely. For this I like to do a double cleanse, the first one something that is very strong and stripping, banishing that energy aways- I love dragons blood resin coated blue sage bundles for this, then something lighter and with loving energy like a amber incense or lavender bundle.

Light any candles for ancestors, deities, spirits, or elsewise that you’d like here if you regularly work with any beings and lay them appropriate offerings. I find for protective items like this that are adding another later in your arsenal something liquid works wonders, I.e coffee, wine, rum, blessed water, colognes ect. Leave these offerings at your altar, set your protections and move to the next step.

WITCHES SIDE NOTE:

“Why protect before a protection ward??”

You want to make sure the energy you are raising is contained to YOU and your space and spirits, you do not want anyone to be able to see how you are setting up your spiritual protections and how they could tear them down. Protecting your space from lurking spirits or spying others before you set this ward up will make it all the stronger.

I like to actually craft this ladder in the area that I am going to hang or place it and not at my altar. 

BACK TO CASTING:

Take three pieces of twine, yarn, jute, ribbon, cord or otherwise that you have around your home - I find that for this it is best that you use items you already have around your home and try not to buy anything new for this. Gather your materials and drop 3 drops of the fiery wall oil and hypnosis oil into the twine/ribbons. The hypnosis oil I like adding into all of my banefull stuff, it is harder for people to do reversals or find out where they went wrong - well first off they went wrong messing with you in the first place period- 

Once your twine / ribbon has the oils on them rub the materials and oils in the palms of your hands pushing your will and intent into the heat that you are creating in your palms. The intent is entirely up to you and how you want to build this ward, if you want to write out a petition for concise wording do that before you start and read it here and again later when we braid them all together. Once your will and energy is pushed into the ribbons and oil they should be combined and the ribbons should have absorbed some of the oils.

Next, gather your charms - these items should coincide with your intent for the ward, if its a beauty ward use tools that are sharp for beauty, Tweezersvers, a broken eyelash curler, grab protective items too like nails or animal teeth, talismans, feathers, evil eye beads, crosses, other religious symbols, truly anything that you can glue or tie onto your latter you can. Collect them all either in a bowl or your hands and add one drop of fiery wall oil on them and set them to the side for when you start to braid.

It is finally time to prep your talisman, I like to make a little loop at one top of the rope so I can easily hang my creation once I am done but however you guys want to do this is up to you! Then once you create your loop with the three materials begin braiding them like you normally would, if you do not know how to braid you can twist the three or knot them together over and over again - however you want to work this is up to you. Periodically as you are braiding stop and add a charm, crystal, bead, or element in and keep braiding, weaving everything into one. While you are braiding and weaving elements in either pray or read your petition again. Finish off by tying a double knot at the end do not use elastics!

 If you made a baneful ward hang this somewhere you and others do not see or interact with daily and check on it every few weeks or on a schedule youd like, if you created a non baneful ward then hang it in either the center of your home, at your front door or above your altar!

Once finished with everything wash your hands with florida water and add a drop of the florida water into the base of your sink and rinse.
