I love this show, as a chef it's quite interesting seeing all the dishes and techniques they come up with. I highly recommend this show, even though the last season is kinda meh. The cooking battles are basically Iron chef style. With judges and the reason they happen is to resolve disputes between students, or in later arcs are part of exams. The peak for me is the first year battle royale that becomes a tournament between the top students. There's also school life stuff like summer camp, the school festival, and exams, but with a twist so it's never boring. The rules of the battles also change so it's never stale. There is no actual fighting but there's a lot of metaphor battle imagery and over the top reactions to food.
