Project WIP: I accidentally made a doggo (again)

No, I didn't make it, but I had a chat with a dear friend, and some things were mentioned and I've realized that I can very easily make a new character which is actually something I had not made before. So like, you know, I now MUST do this.
So I took my tiny Jinjing-Yu model...
And changed her into...
A chubby pupper. ;U;

Took just a few hours so far, and because the UVs and most of the textures are there, won't take more than a couple of days in total, which is nice.
The plan so far: giving her a somewhat dark skin color (possibly a bit darker than the real pupper above), trying to give her whiskers, figure out a hairstyle (probably something short), and most importantly - keep working on the body. I'm about 60% sure it can be better somehow. Oh, and she needs a name. And at least a vague personality direction.
Feel free to throw suggestions at me! Any changes in the body? Face maybe (note: these doggos have a naturally "concerned" "expression"; it's silly, but I love it, so it stays). A hairstyle/color idea? Eye color? Maybe I should give her melanism? WHO KNOWS!? I've just started working on her today, and there is almost literally nothing figured out yet, so if you want to take part in the creation of this pupper, here's your chance! :D
And if not, that's cool; I'm having fun with this. It's a nice change.

I'll definitely have to work on her torso a bit more, maybe define the arms better (but maybe not). And while the face is pretty much 10/10, I still feel like I can improve it somehow. But it's true that it's a bit too early for some things. For one, she will look very different with hair. :3c Thank you!

XD This one is literally a deformation-based modification of an existing character, and those always take a few days at most. They're a lot more constraining tho. Also there are some nice names here, but they're mostly too pet-like, which isn't really a surprise. XD Allie is nice tho. We'll see! As for personality, JustANerd gave me a very nice direction. :3c Thanks!

I'll have to think a bit about her background, then I can come up with a name based on that. I usually do it this way. Also, the whole bipolarity thing is an excellent idea, and I'm totally going there, so thank you! :D

Used to take months. I'll just name all my animals (present and past) and see if anyone thinks they're interesting. But Tchai is much better at naming things than I am. 2018-03-27 08:18:47 +0000 UTCI'm not the best with names, just a few ideas, some maybe sillier then others ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - Meri-Terri (meri as in merry/happy) or maybe just Terri? - Ameri - Josephine, Wikipedia said this was the name of the original breeding dog As for personalty, you some sites say they are energetic and very curious, and since you want to keep the "conerned" expression, i'm sorta imagining almost a bipolar personality where she switches between happy and worried all the time lol. Although the first picture you have the pupper just looks quizzical to me.
