They have *that bad* of a relationship. They resent each other to the maximum degree. Duckman feels no attraction towards Bernice and vice versa. The only reason Bernice is presenting herself to him is because she's under a spell, and the curves would otherwise work on Duckman if they were on any other woman besides her. -- Although, maybe a different context is she's deliberately trying to gross him out and she finds it funny. (Where as the Duccubus finds it a waste of her powers)

That, or these individuals just have that bad of a relationship. (But never a bad inflation.) (To those of you who watch this show can clarify for me. Personally, I'm not into these characters, which is why I won't watch it. But the Animation is Peak. I'm still glad it's getting done.)
