From “My First Time with Paige – Nearly Nude Among the Lavender Bushes”

I’ve now creatively collaborated several times with Paige, and there are many sets to come, even before we get to the next photoshoot we’ve already scheduled with each other relatively soon. She is one of a small handful (She’d appreciate the obvious pun that she’s more than a small handful, both behaviorally and physically.) of models with whom the experience is so enjoyable that I allow myself to imagine we could actually be friends.

That’s not really something that could happen, of course, but it’s easy to pretend when you’re focused (yes, another pun) on producing images that do more than show-off the physical beauty of young women. And I do try to do more than that more often than not. But sometimes, especially when you weren’t expecting to meet the model/girlfriend of a photographer hosting a photoshoot with a completely different model, there’s no high concept, moral narrative, or even simple juxtaposition.

The segments that Paige and I shot together that day had a simple story arc. In Act One: “Here’s a beautiful woman wearing some clothes.” The Turn in the story, Act Two: “She’s beginning to take off some of those clothes.” This sets up The Resolution of the plot’s tension in Act Three: She either does or does not put clothes back on and, perhaps, removes all the rest of the clothes entirely, and might even show you something more than what you’d normally see if all she did was to remove the rest of her clothes.

Of the various sets you may have already seen, this is the very first. Paige does not, in fact, remove ALL of her clothes. There are some parts that you may consider to be included in “nudity” that remain obscured by fabric. Am I concerned that will hurt sales? Not at all. Because, even fully clothed, Paige’s personality and the intimacy of her connection with the camera lens, is more attractive, more enticing, and frankly more seductive than any of the most explicitly gynecological exploitations I’ve ever seen.

So, here’s Paige, just as she was the first time we met. We shot four sets that day and, if you follow us and purchase sets of our images, you’ve seen the other three. But even when we barely (pun-notice) knew each other, I think we were already doing wonderful work together.
