Puns. Sometimes they come up in conversation. Sometimes they’re inspired by an image and the ideas they prompt. And then there are those you just happen upon. That’s the case here.
When Charlotte saw the empty space beneath the sign, with the platform nicely provided in the lovely sidelight of the window, and having (may we state humbly) a reasonably competent photographer in tow—well, knowing how many flames she’s ignited in her modeling career, this was a set we just had to shoot…even persevering when other tenants arrived and departed in the midst of our shoot.
Apologies that we bowed so low in reverence that the platform obscures the central section of her spread-legged pose, even when she raised the hat from its protective position. We’ll do better in the future.
