Meat Loaf used to sing, “I can see her rising up out of the back seat now just like an angel rising up from the tomb.” In this set, though, with Aurora Bunny in her black lacy lingerie, cavorting and crouching on the frame of the ancient and abandoned auto, the impression may recall a different kind of angel, the one featured in Henry Fuseli’s painting, “The Nightmare.”
In either case, with whatever AB awakens in you, you’ll enjoy not just the poses, the wardrobe, and the displacement and discarding of the wardrobe, but also the gestures, expressions, and mood of our model as she contemplates her perch, it’s suggestion of a difficult history, and the beauty of the surrounding nature in which it is located.
