Gryphon's Pride - 1

Note:

I altered the timeline a little. Hagrid started as a Full-Time professor in Year four rather than year three. With Sirius not in Azkaban there wasn't any escape or Dementors. Buckbeak was handled much in the same way ala time-turner shenanigans. This takes place in Year Four for the 'extra' witches present to make sense.

Also, Hogwarts starts at 13. This means in Year 4 Harry is 16 *cough*legal*cough* but still doesn't qualify for the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

Harry didn't relax until the Hogwarts Express started to move. His mother had always been protective after his father had died fighting Voldemort. The sacrifice had given her enough time to prepare some sort of spell that destroyed the Dark Lords physical body. Lily was knocked unconscious for a week due to magical exhaustion and Harry came away with a neat scar, but Voldemort had been sent fleeing as a specter. This led to years of training for the eventual return.

Lily, Sirius, and occasionally, Remus taught him magic for years before his first year at Hogwarts. He knew how to apparate by the time he was ten. It was only short distance hops, but it was still impressive. He also carried an emergency port key that sent him to the magical equivalent of a safe room.

Harry knew the curriculum up to seventh year. Still, he wasn't going to miss going to school. His uncles were awesome, and so were the tutors they brought in, but he wanted to be around other kids. The mandatory Pure Blood gatherings didn't count. A few hours of socialization could not replace actual interaction with kids. It was enough to tell him that his 'cousin' Draco was a total jerk. Thankfully they weren't actually related.

There were a few bright spots during all the posturing. Narcissa, Draco's mother, was a wonderful woman. She looked like she was perpetually sad, but beautiful and had always been kind to him. Narcissa had been brought in to tutor him in potions. She got along really well with Lily when her husband wasn't around. Lily had a Mastery in Charms and Potions which meant that the tutoring sessions were mainly for the two women to socialize.

The training and tutoring had started to relax as his first year at Hogwarts neared. Sirius was ecstatic that Harry had been sorted into Gryffindor. The fact that Lily had somehow taken a spot among the faculty was a surprise. Charms and Potions already had established professors, so she had taken the mantle of Muggle Studies. The course was desperately in need of an update.

She was also the only person that Snape seemed to be afraid of. A sharp glare from her would silence the man. He absolutely refused to sit at the staff table without at least three other professors between them. It made class tense. Snape hovered near his station, regardless of his partner, and docked him points for every mistake no matter how minor. Harry hated it, but they were all by the book and couldn't contest them. He told himself that the points didn't really matter, that he'd make it up in other subjects, but he hated the man before the first class had finished.

Lily didn't put up a fuss when Harry joined the Quidditch team. She was able to counter the curse on his broom with a few quick flicks of her wand. The fact that Harry still managed to catch the snitch distracted her enough to put the incident aside. While dangerous, it wasn't unheard of for things like this to happen during school games. There weren't as many protections put in place like there were for professional Quidditch. Aside from the inertial dampening spell placed about twenty feet above the ground. Not that they told the students about it. The last thing they needed was for them to catch wind and turn that into a game. Any witch or wizard could curse the broom of the other team. Little Malfoy and his goons were the most likely suspects. It wasn't an overly complex curse.

Everything was going well until Halloween. A troll somehow got into the school and Hermione almost got turned into goop. His mother had torn Quirrell a couple of new holes for his carelessness. Everything calmed down again. At the end of the year his mother and Dumbledore were called away for different reasons. It was odd, but not completely unheard of. Of course, that was when everything went tits up. Harry, Hermione, and Ron worked together to stop someone from stealing the Philosophers Stone. Quirrell with Voldemort as a parasite.

That summer had turned into many long days of training. Somehow she got approval to use a Time Turner so each day usually lasted thirty-six hours. He thought that with her fears proven correctly that his entire life going forward would be trapped behind the layered wards of Potter Manor. Instead, he was able to return for his second year.

It was an interesting one to say the least. They discovered Harry had inherited Parseltongue, either from the Black family magic or his encounter with Voldemort. Sirius thought it was hilarious that a half-blood with so many Gryffindor qualities had proven to be more Slytherin than any of the Purebloods that had been sorted there for the last few hundred years.

The first petrification was odd. There hadn't ever been a Gorgon sighting in England. It became clearer when it was discovered that all the roosters had been killed. They knew it was a basilisk. They knew it was most likely in the Chamber of Secrets. What they didn't know was where that actually was or how it was able to move around the school without being seen. A bulk order of mandrake countered the petrification but not the terror it inspired. Harry found the Chamber of Secrets. He went to his mother with the information. She would have pulled him out of school without notice if he went down alone. Lily wasn't happy that he had to come along. It was the only option since he was a Parselmouth.

Harry ended up being the one to face the basilisk on his own thanks to the tunnel collapsing. A healthy helping of luck mixed in allowed him kill the creature. He also came away with a wicked scar and the knowledge that Tom Riddle was Voldemort. They also knew for certain that he had created more than one horcrux. Dumbledore set about finding a way to track and destroy the horrid things.

Harry honestly wasn't sure that his mother to allow him to return to school this year. It was only because third year had been calm. No roaming monsters, death scares, or Halloween Curse.

Things seemed to be calming down until the Quidditch World Cup. The Death Eater attack almost made his mother lock him away behind the Potter Manor wards. His training had proven effective when he had taken down three Death Eaters on his own before the Aurors arrived. The others had escaped, but not before they took some damage.

Instead of locking him away, the thirty-six-hour days of training stayed in place. This time an extra tutor for swordsmanship was added. Dumbledore wasn’t happy that they didn't hand over the Sword of Gryffindor to Hogwarts. Technically, it belonged to Harry as it had deemed him worthy to draw it. They had thought it was goblin made but it was actually crafted by one of the last dwarven smiths before they started their Stone Slumber. They weren't due to wake up for another hundred years so Harry was the de facto owner.

Now, Harry rested in the cabin with his friends. Ginny had joined the group. She still had a hard time talking to him, though not nearly as much, and she felt safer when he was close. With her came Luna Lovegood. Her mere presence seemed to aggravate Hermione. The various creatures that she claimed to see, her ability to simply know things, and her lack of filter drove the bookworm up the wall. Harry found he rather enjoyed the petite blonde.

The fact that she had decided his lap was the perfect place to sit had nothing to do with it. She didn't mind that each bump ground her nice bum into his growing erection. In fact, she readjusted to make sure they lined up comfortably. If not for his jeans and her clothes, he would have slipped inside of her. The sensation of her heat on his crotch made it difficult to concentrate on anything else going on around him. His hands instinctively rested on her hips to stabilize her. And help grind her a bit harder as they train trundled on. Luna let out a couple of squeaks as she rocked faster. She stilled and let out a happy sigh. It didn't take long for Harry to reach his peak.

"Thank you, Harry Potter." Luna smiled serenely at him over her shoulder.

"What are you talking about?" Hermione was at her wits end.

"Harry Potter made me orgasm three times." Luna replied simply.

"Luna!" Ginny screamed. "You can't just say that."

"Oh." Luna didn't sound bothered. "But you always wanted me to tell you when I had an orgasm before."

"LUNA!" Ron, Hermione, and Ginny yelled.

"I'm sorry, Harry Potter." Luna gave another smile. "I hope your orgasm was enjoyable as well."

Harry blushed. He nodded.

"You can just call me Harry." He mumbled.

"Okay." Luna settled back into place on his lap with a happy little noise.

Hermione gawked at the pair. Her jaw had dropped open. He could almost see the steam coming out of her ears. She looked at Ron for support but found the ginger was laughing so hard that he couldn't make a sound. Ginny sat next to Harry with a bright blush on her face. Hermione narrowed her eyes at the girl when she noticed that the ginger had scooted closer to Harry.

"Unbelievable." Hermione pulled a book from her bag and started to read aggressively.

Hope I'm not among that annoyance

Scott

The way Hermione feels about Luna is the way I feel whenever an iteration of fanon Hermione opens her mouth to speak. Extreme annoyance.
