Young Justice

Gotham - Wayne Manor

"Master Bruce." Alfred set down a tray with lunch and the TV remote on it.
"I’m not hungry, Alfred." Bruce didn’t look up from the project he was working on. After a moment of silence, he added. "I’ll take a break soon and eat then, thank you."
"There is something I think you would find interesting happening in Metropolis." Alfred lifted the remote and turned on the large screen.
On the screen a majestic blond woman dressed in what could only be called a toga stood on a stage with about thirty other women dressed similarly of varying age. They were all beautiful and gave of a sense of strength so many companies tried to emulate. The blond raised her hand to silence the crowd of reports standing around her and surprisingly they complied. She stepped up to a microphone and began to speak.
"My name is Hippoltya, I am Queen on the isle of Themyscira, home of the Amazons." Her voice was stately, even, and demanded attention. "My sisters and I have decided it is time to once again join the world and our embassy will be here in Metropolis. We hope to extend a hand in piece and look forward to exploring this world we have only been able to glimpse for the last millennia. My sister Antiope," an Amazon could have been the Queens twin stepped forward. "Will be my Ambassador while I return to our Island. She has my utmost confidence and speaks with my voice." The Queen stopped speaking as a tentative hand from a female reporter rose in the air. "Yes?"
"Thank you, your Majesty." The reporter did a clumsy curtsy. "Are you taking questions?"
The Queen smiled. Even across the broadcast Bruce felt a flutter somewhere inside his chest. He cleared his throat and pushed the feeling down.
"Ye." Her smile did not falter. "Learning about this new world is important and we expect the knowledge to flow in both directions."
"Thank you." The reporter let out a breath. "May I ask where you have been the last thousand years?"
"Our island was a sanctuary created by the gods for our service and we were held separate from your world." The Queen waved a balanced hand at the women arrayed behind her. "We have lived outside your time and influence but now we feel it is for the best interest of both parties to let the veil fade."
"Are you saying the gods exist?" A masculine voice called out.
A brief flash of annoyance crossed the Queens face as she turned to answer the speaker.
"Yes."
"How do you know?" The same reporter asked.
"I’ve met a few." The Queen turned from the man making it clear the line of questioning was finished.
"What of the Amazon’s policy towards men?" Another reporter asked.
"We have no outright hostility toward males." The Queen smiled again, and this time Bruce saw the hardened warrior behind it. "We simply believe that men are not better than women."
"You mean that you are better than men." The previous reporter chimed in.
An icy gaze settled on the reporter. He sat back down.
"That will be all, thank you." Queen Hippoltya bowed her eyes slightly to the reporters in a gracious dismissal and walked off camera. Her retinue of Amazons fell into step behind her, and the screen switched to a rather befuddled reporter holding a microphone.
"More as the story develops." The reporter stammered and the channel switched to commercial.
Bruce looked at Alfred. "Thank you, Alfred that was interesting."
Alfred nodded and started to leave.
"I’ll be taking dinner down here."

Smallville – Kent Household

Clark turned off the TV and let out a deep breath, carefully making sure he didn’t move the furniture or break any windows. He stood up, crossed the room, and headed for the barn. This summer he had an internship with The Daily Planet in the copy room, it wasn’t much better than free labor but it got his name out there. More importantly it gave him a reason to be in the city for an extended period of time. His mother wasn’t too keen on having her son stay in the city but his aunt had graciously offered for Clark to stay with her. Martha Kent preferred this plan to the one where he shared an apartment with Lana Lang and her cousin for the summer. He was sixteen and even with superpowers teenage boys were still teenage boys.
His bags were already packed but since he had to wait for a ride into the city they weren’t leaving until tomorrow. His aunt didn’t know about Clarks secret and him just showing up without a bus ticket or a ride would look kind of suspicious. Of course, with an Amazon embassy popping up in the city he thought his unannounced arrival might go unnoticed.
As much as he hated to admit it he was glad that his mother had sold the back forty. Now she didn’t have to hire hands when he wasn’t there, and the extra money had helped.
"Clark?" His mother called from the entry. "Is everything ok?"
"Just thinking, mom." Clark smiled and adjusted his glasses.

Metropolis - Themysciran Embassy

"Can you believe this, Cydippe." Princess Diana smiled looking out of the window at the street below. "An entire city I’ve never seen. One that I don’t know every square inch of, and here I am." she sighed. "Stuck in this building."
Her aide and companion smiled. "We are getting a tour tomorrow. After a few hundred years I’m sure you can wait another night."
The two could have easily been twins, which was one of the reasons Cydippe was chosen as the bodyguard for the Princess of the Amazons. Both had flowing black hair, strong dark blue eyes, and a lifelong training as warriors that made their movements fluid.
"You know." Diana changed to a tone her friend knew all too well. "If we can sneak passed the guards at the palace we could easily give these ones a slip."
"And then your mother would be cross." The Queen chuckled as she stood in the doorway. "How many times did you two sneak out of the palace?"
"Mother." Diana crossed the room and embraced the Queen. "It was daily."
Her mother chuckled and shook her head. "My daughter, my heart, you are not making this easy."
"Cy, did you know it is a daughter’s duty to make her mother’s life easier?" Diana turned to her friend with mock surprise.
"Six months, Diana." Hippoltya sighed and hugged her daughter again. "I will be back in six months, until then you will listen to your aunt and your elders. She will report to me if anything goes wrong and then our little island will become even smaller."
"I understand mother." She closed her eyes and squeezed her mother closer. "I will miss you."

Metropolis - Themysciran Embassy

"That was one of the most boring and pointless mornings I have had in my life." Diana sighed heavily as she lounged on the couch in her room.
"I thought the library was rather inspired." Cydippe chuckled holding up her canvas bag stuff full of new books.
Diana blew a raspberry and began to unhook the knee-high sandals.
"There are more ways to explore a world, Di." Cy pulled a book from the bag and stroked the spine lightly. "You may have explored every inch of the island, but I read every book in the library at least twice."
"You are right." Diana sat up and smiled at her friend. "Princess."
"Diana." Her friend put down the book and crossed her arms. "Your mother left not ten hours ago, and you want me to pretend to be you so you can sneak out and explore the city without an escort?"
"Princess." She curtseyed and then held up the bag of books. "Think of all the books you have to read."
Cydippe eyed the bag of books and then let out a long-suffering sigh, "guard!"
From the hallway came one of the Amazon guards stationed at the embassy.
"I’m sending my assistant to the library for more books." Her manner was now strong, resolute, and regal. Having a near twin as a best friend had many benefits. "Make sure she blends in as to not cause a stir."
The guard nodded and began to lead Diana through the embassy hallways. After going down the elevator, a novel yet superfluous device, to the sub-basement Diana was taken to the armory. Chest, wardrobes, and racks of weapons filled the room with just enough room to maneuver. While it looked ancient and most of it was, these armor and weapons were magically imbued. The guard disappeared into the armory and returned a moment later with armor, a helmet, and a sword.
"A sword?" Diana looked at the guard.
"This is the world of man." The guard practically spat the last word. "You cannot be too careful little one. The armor will grant you invisibility and the helm will mask your image when visible."
"Thank you, honored sister." Diana bowed.
"Princess." The guard winked before turning on her heel and walking briskly back to the elevator.

Note-
Just a little something I had tumbling around my head.

Comments

Not sure really. It was something that was playing around in my head after the Expanding Fandom poll.

Interesting Premise, my mind also went to the YJ Show when I read the title. Is this pure dc comics or would you be using some shows as well, like the first few seasons of Smallville? or some animated shows/movies?

Pheebouss

It's a play on words. Concept: What if the three met when they were younger? 'Young Justice'

Scott

So this is maybe a decade or more before “Young Justice”?
