Nosferatu (1922) - Full Reaction

My first ever silent movie and my oldest movie to date, I am pretty proud! This was much better than I expected for over 100 YEARS AGO that's insane!! There were some haunting frames! It seemed a bit disoriented at times and I really struggled reading that dang font haha!

Since this movie is "public domain" we've gone ahead and provided two versions of the full reaction. One with our standard format, and the other version as an already sync'd up reaction with the movie visible!

You can find both versions below:

I watched this movie on YouTube for free. The exact version I watch can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC6jFoYm3xs

Technically, this movie shouldn't really be around, it was ordered destroyed because it ripped off Bram Stoker's 'Dracula', but I'm glad it was saved, I think it's a great piece of entertainment, Max Schrek (Inspriation for Christopher Walken's 'Batman Returns' character) did a fantastic job.

I have decided that any silent film I watch going forward must be watched with Cassie. I loved the running commentary and narration.

I first watched that film with the VOICES OF LIGHT score and now I can't ever watch it any other way. I loved the music so much I even bought the soundtrack CD.

I hope at some point into your journey of the silent classics you react to one of the greatest: “The Passion of Joan of Arc” (1928). This masterpiece is rare and very special. The Criterion I sent has three scores but Richard Einhorn's VOICES OF LIGHT is my personal fav. Renée Maria Falconetti’s performance is absolutely spellbinding.
