BendyVR Chapter 2 Hotfix

Thanks to the feedback from patrons I was able to identify some problems with both Chapter finales. I've reworked the room-scale a bit so that a few more elements are logically in the right position (which should pay dividends later).

You can download the version on this post (although I've also replaced the original post as well).

Changelog:

- Fixed HeadContainer being offset from Player controller / camera (causing headcontainer rotations to be uncomfortable)

- Fixed issue with camera shake propelling the player through the floor on Chapter 1 end sequence.

- Fixed issue with triggering Chapter 1 finale

- Fixes issue with triggering Chapter 2 finale

- Removed Chapter 1 end images which seem to never disappear

Thanks for you feedback and hope you enjoy the fixes.

It wasn't horrible when smoothing turning. I couldn't tell for sure if the image was 'ghosting' slightly (e.g., like part of the image was slightly elongated when smooth turning), or if certain vertical aspects of the image were fragmenting slightly. Next time I play, I'll take a better look. It was just distracting enough such that physical turning was an easier solution. I'll be the first to admit a GTX 1070Ti is not a reasonable solution (I'm waiting on reviews of the AMD cards before getting a card).

Thanks for the feedback. Can you tell me if you were getting a solid frame rate when you were smooth turning? I haven't actually publicised it but I did include FSR but it's disabled by default, which could help for extra performance. When the full game is completable I'll circle back for more fine tuning.

Played through Chapter 1 with a i7-8700/16GBRAM/GTX1070Ti with a Valve Index (90Hz refresh) on default game settings. Observations are as follows: - Smooth locomotion is fine, although there seems to be micro-stutters at times; just enough to notice, but never enough to distract from gameplay. - Smooth turning has more choppiness to it, which occasionally makes me go to physical turning as a way of mitigating the issue. - I felt a little short in the game, but thankfully there was a height adjustment. After one height adjustment, I thought my smooth turning went to snap turning, but going 'in-and-out' of the menu seemed to correct that. - I have mostly good feelings on this VR adaptation as one hand, this VR adaptation really provides an immersive feel of the game universe you are in (it helps that the art style (somewhat reminiscent of Boarderlands VR) gives it a vastly different feel over most other VR games that strive for realism. On the other hand, the VR adaptation often show the difficulty in trying to translate keyboard/gamepad gameplay into VR motion controllers (e.g., you can't turn door handles, but at least can swing the axe). - I almost started critiquing the game play, but then realized you folks are not responsible for that. - Overall, a solid adaptation that did its job in making me temporarily believe I was somewhere else other than my house. Thank you.

Oh, alright I didn't know if I would have had to delete the game or anything, thanks

Muhc like Chapter 1 to Chapter 2. Just download and go through the same process (drag the EXE over the patcher). You don't need to uninstall anything first

I just have a question for when the next update/chapter comes out, will I have to download that new file and get like rid of the other one and stuff ?how would I get the new chapter/update

Currently 50% off on Steam. ~€8 for me.

Delete the BepInEx folder in the Bendy install folder
