There were only a few of them, a small group of photographers no doubt assembled by Evolution Pharmaceuticals, the Lean In program, and possibly some other groups looking to celebrate and promote the union of Far Horizons Medical Associates and the new movement seeking to advance the rights and influence of women worldwide. Tonight’s party was sure to make its way onto the social media feeds of not only every girl here, but into eyeballs across nations. Angie Wade, no dummy, was well aware of that fact and - entering the party fashionably late - basked in the limelight of the small media setup outside the entrance.

Empowered by every click of a camera, emboldened by every flash from the photographers, Angie Wade’s smile grew and grew and grew as she came to feel more and more confident in her plan, in the groundwork she’d begun to lay this week. She absorbed every ounce of fawning praise from the little crowd of press, their adoring flattery. Her ego swelled bigger and bigger until finally she knew she could not be stopped.
