Drawing characters #90 (NSFW shadows)
Added 2020-04-27 19:35:57 +0000 UTCFollowing the inking, the infamous shadows! At this point, I'm really wondering where I will finally go. I do love the high contrast shadows, the big black solids do it for me BIG time, I love contrasts.
But, just as I saw it before with some Nimo drawings, I lose detailling in anatomy, in the inking, and even full parts like beauty spots. About these, you can see I cheated detouring them: this might be a way to still get some details lost in the big black solids.
There are some other ways I see with famous comic artists, I gotta try some other stuff. The other way, *easier*, is what you see in the second image, that you saw in some pieces before : making the black solids transparent. It's also useful when going full colors.
