Out of the water (step by step)
Added 2020-05-10 18:42:30 +0000 UTCYou can see here how I handled this panel. The main focus was on the very difficult pose, so I drawn a very first sketch, that I scanned and put in the page. I needed to be sure of my framing.
Then I sketched the whole scene.
You also see how I performed the final blend from left to right, in order to avoid mixing too much graphite on my right hand along the process (in fact I have a blank paper between the sheet & my drawing hand, that I have to change very often, to protect the pieces I'm working on).
