LUSTory #53 (V ThrowBackThursday)
Added 2024-02-15 14:26:01 +0000 UTCIt is Valentine's celebration month, and I go for a SPECIAL LUSTory focusing on the cover I did for the 3rd chapter, the one we are revisiting for some time.
I have to confide I truly have this "Je t'aime moi non plus" relationship with this cover. I love it, and I hate it. This comes from a super idea I had in mind, both romantic & scary with the smoke monster above / behind them, and the final thing that just don't fit. I've been blaming the colors (it's really worse on the printed version, as I self published a limited number of copies back in the day). But the whole scene & rendering seems a bit weak, compared to some of the best panels in the comic.
Anyway, for this Throw Back Thursday, I reworked it a bit, cut the top, trying daytime. One could say: when in doubt, always trust the hump!

I don't know, many of the copies were sold but I don't keep track & I got so fed up with anything related to bookstores & publishers that I don't wanna hear from them in any way.
