Each Clips Value is calculated to a set of formula that factors in the cost to train the units aswell as the cost to train replacement units. Equipment is recollected after expenditure unless the target is lost. Then equipment is considered a loss.  

The most diabolical calculation is when those training, replacement & equipment costs are placed against the end of contract payout figures of the expended units.  

Regardless of previous operations successes or captured Neon-Dark, Value is calculated fresh each mission.

Expected investment return on operations to satisfy her mistresses demands is 20 credit profit for each 1 credit invested.

THE NUMBERS

The cost to train a unit is 120,000 credits.

Cost to maintain, equip & deploy a unit is 250,000 credits P.A.

A given a selection of 100 units (3 Clip) Total investment to the point of this operation 66,750,000 Credits. 

The selection may be broken down like this.

40 units are under 1 years service:  14.8m total investment (4.8m training & 10m maintenance).

30 units are between 1 and 3 years service: 22.1m total investment approx (3.6m training & 18.75m maintenance).

30 units are over 3 years service:  29.85m total investment approx (3.6m training & 26.25m maintenance).

 The Medium Value Azologoth will Yield close to 2B credits (2,000,000,000). 

The approximate return on investment is 29 credits per dollar invested if units are completely expended where the case a small squad is moved into secure the area after its captured(as pictured above). 

But company savings on Contract payouts, note each unit will be paid approx 4.3m credits per 4 year term. So in excess of 430,000,000 was saved by expending the entire 3 clips. 

This sort of wastage seems unnecessary however for that same selection of combat units to survive their  service term while maintaining her mistresses stipulated 20 credits per credit investment, they would have to have secured a minimum 10 billion credits in Neon Dark. 

With duties including security, patrols, attacks, defense and other necessary but mundane tasks, the time each unit spends actually obtaining Neon Dark is very low hence Productivity is generally lower than her mistresses standards.
