Thinking purely operational
There are some limiting factors with technology due to the radiation levels (the most convenient story plot to limit things like robots and drones)
Would you spread sentries thin to spread the load or would you concentrate them onto certain areas?
What would a sentry shift look like?
I like the idea of them strutting constantly for hours on end, punished with boredom to make them itch for combat.
