Much of the maintenance carried out before the accident involved teams heading down in vehicles or remote piloted drones. The stairs remain the only way in and largley the only way out.
Like a nightmare into the abyss, the units proceed deeper and deeper, pushed by their mistress, down the stairs, into what could only be described as fate.
