Zuvic Keres – 11
The Keres are the Ancient Greek female personification of violent death.
They are the daughters of NYX, the Goddess of darkness who are drawn to death of battle & they feast on the dead.
Their thirst for human blood through suffering is insatiable and once their claws are sunk deep into the flesh of the victim dragging their soul into the abyss.
The ZK-11 is a short range (50), compact energy weapon which fires a Teraherzt or THwave frequency burst that can penetrate many materials (except steel, lead) but can penetrate concrete.
Accuracy is unparalleled as the beam shoots at the speed of light and the weapon will not fire unless pointed at a warm target (can be over-ridden to fire through objects).
The beam is a thin, faint purple pulse lasting less than 1/100 of a second.
Hitting any part of the body, the weapon charges and scrambles nerve activity rendering the target immobile and unconscious for between 10 to 15 hours.
Intent of the system is to allow live targets to be fed to Captured Azologoth or terminated using the weapons pump charge feature for increased power output.
The weapon system itself operates off a refined Neon Dark Core, which charge for 20 shots.
Keres wandered gazed upon the field of battle searching for the dead or dying to feast on their souls, dragging them to the abyss.
The soulless, desperate Mercenaries of Black Faction leave nothing for the Keres to feast on, so instead the weapon prepares them to be sacrificed, fed alive to the true god creature, The Azologoth & in return the Azologoth gifts humankind Neon Dark.
