The sites have a comms spike set up inside, which is usually a concrete room, old building or what not.
The commspike relays the communication to the outpost and teams arrive with documents to be verified by the C-Site before moving onto the outpost.
This ensures the communications are not scrambled. If there are issues with comms they will utilize another means.
Good communication are essential for the operations to work efficiently,but there are a few forms of redundancy in place.
There for the purpose of the C-Site is non essential.
A C-Site has two squads in the base and 2 squads on sentry duties, rotating shifts except for the two comms specialists.
