Rationalisation of tactics -

It is no mystery that Black Faction is extremely wasteful of their human stock.

What rational has been written into the companies policy to facilitate this sort of stock cycle?

1: Large stock portfolio - Black Faction has enormous numbers of units on duty, units on standby, units in reserve and units in training. They have an ample amount to replace any incidental operational losses at the drop of a hat.

2: Standardised application in roles: Standard combat unit implies that very meaning, standard. Their skill level may vary from unit to unit, but their application has been standardised so that all end up near equal in one way or another - making their application predicable for business modelling.

3: Standardised expend-ability: no unit is special, they are all the same essentially, performance is monitored and the goal posts are moved to keep them operating at a high level. But the large stock portfolio, combined with the standardised application means that any unit can replaced with any unit. When any unit is lost any unit can replace. The expenditure of a unit is just that, one down.

4: Speed in achieving goals: Time is money. Azologoth need to be taken fast, Neon Dark needs to be moved out fast. If an assault involves Neon Dark, losses matter less than getting the job done. If that mission is to capture the Neon Dark, then its all in, because the risk is more than worth the reward to the company.

Could there be another rational behind their wasteful tactics?
