This commander values experience

Any given sector is full of newer combat units, they are a dime a dozen.

They are good for saturating areas with bodies and overwhelming enemy units.

However experienced units with plenty of combat time are hard to find.

Normally they leave after their 1st contract but when you get those who stay a second or third term like these two it is rare. 

That being said, they are just as expendable as the next combat unit, however where you apply them is key.

Come the Terminal Operator

The Terminal Operator is new, she received an extra weeks training in operation of Black Factions remote command terminals. 

In days gone by contractors installed facility management systems to dozens of sites across Mallera-9 in preparedness of receiving large volumes of Black Faction Combat Units.

The terminal is able to act as a secure command post to manage a force up to a Cache in size. 

That way a sector commander can distribute her forces while having power, water & surveillance ready to go. 

Because they were installed by contractors who initially hired KTS to escort them in none of the other companies have moved into sabotage or destroy the infrastructure. 

The sites are ready to be activated when there is enough bodies to fill it. 

Problem was that many of those said bodies are either trapped inside the Zuvic Facility or suspended in liquid earth in Mallera Deep. 

So now that some of Black Factions Former employees are KTS Units the competition is aware of the presence of the Terminals.

The Terminals must be secured.

To secure the terminals properly requires a large number of bodies & a sentry web.

This Sector Commander is not in a position to do such a thing, so she finds the most experienced combat units she has, removes them from service cycle and sends them to the terminal locations with the operator to ready the sites to begin to receive stock. 

The only problem is that once the operator logs in, it is possible to get status updates of the entire sector.

Other naughty commanders have seen this as an opportunity to spy on their co-workers.....even if it results in a little bit of unit expenditure.
