Liquid Earth Trap

The operation was in support of a territory grab with a high amount of Azologoth detected.
As normal Black Faction like the Dark Empire of the Mistress it is, moves in dozens upon dozens of Standard Combat Units to take the area from Alliance Units.
The Positions however were traps laid by the Alliance (KTS) to lure in a hefty force of Black Faction.
Squads were split up to secure the facility from the KTS units who, staged a planned retreat.
Only after luring the Black Faction Forces deep below the surface.
Split up & without communications, the KTS forces opened gates which had previously been used during the experiment to emergency cool super capacitors with reservoir water.
A ground liquefier has taken up residency since the opening of the rift, churning the soil & mixing it with its excretion liquid, turning the lake into a pool of hideous abyss.
Once the KTS units had staged their retreat, they opened the gates allowing the liquid horror to smoothly make its way into every room, every corner, filling it and engulfing anything standing there.
