Earth Liquefier Trap.

The Ground or Earth liquefier are a class of Azologoth Creature that either faction has very little information of. What is known is that they live underground & secrete a non adhesive, atmospherically aerated liquid that turns solid earth into a stable, high viscosity liquid.

The theory of this function is that it traps its prey like this, sinking it towards some sort of maw or oraface for consumption.

The depth is generally unknown but a transmission was received from a Black Faction AT-6 after its engines failed on approach to the Zuvic mobile platform. Transmission strength estimates it at a depth of 5-6 kilometers below the surface before contact was lost.

The vehicle contained 15 units plus the pilot & was still sealed therefor not exposed to the liquid.

Caterina Private Defense had conducted tests to see the effects on recovering units from the traps.

6 units were selected at random from mercinette ranks. All units were between the ages of 18--23 & had approximately 6 months active service. There were fitted with heavy load body harnessed and dropped into the liquid and recovered from varying depths.

Units who sank up to 15 feet were recoverable, while the others who were dropped lower were grabbed by tentacles & subsequently lost. Recovered units were semi conscious, but perfectly healthy. Their vitals read normal & they said they were able to breathe while submerged in the liquid, but with some difficulty.

Units who were recovered were pathologically obsessed with plunging themselves back into the liquid, indicating a strong addictive substance present in the liquid.
