Kaiyo Tanaka Security (KTS)

KTS is a small private security contract service mainly used by small & independent companies for various operations in the Zone. 

Relative to Black Faction & Caterina Private Defense, KTS is tiny. 

Holding about 130 units in stock at any one time, KTS typically provides private escorts, vehicular transfers & small site security. 

KTS is more affiliated with Black Faction Corps for external support or lend/lease agreements. 

An example of a service provided would be:

You have information of a cluster shallow Azologoth in a region of Mallera 9 that is out of the operating scope of Black Faction & CPD. 

You have identified a building that may be used as a centre of operations where you can operate from to extract Neon Dark. 

You are wealthy, not nearly enough to establish a company, buy uniforms & equipment, hire training staff, vehicles, buildings etc. 

But you could hire a force to operate for a few months, extract Neon Dark & walk away a billionaire. 

You contact Black Faction but you do not have the means to lease the minimum amount of units, command them or even support them on an operation. 

You contact KTS, who sends a representative to meet with you to discuss your options. 

They calculate the minimum number of units based on an area assessment, advise the facilities needed on site (unit accommodation, showers, water purification) along with supplies (ammo, weapons, MRE’s, personal goods etc). They then advise on transport arrangements, exit strategies and develop an operation plan.

KTS advises that the scale while small, is still out of the operational scope for their own security forces. Meaning that Sublet Combat units will need to be hired for combat roles. 

Your personal budget is now exceeded, however KTS negotiates a revenue share from the Neon Dark to cover the rest of the expenses plus more…

KTS advises to purchase an additional insurance policy from Black Faction, meaning units eliminated by cause of operational needs (firefight, azologoth, liquid earth) are replaced at a 50% of initial purchase price, XHQ (picked up by the lease from Black Faction HQ). 

Units that are eliminated via negligence & or personal avoidable circumstance are covered at 100% by Black Faction & replaced at no extra charge. Meaning if a unit sacrifices herself un-necessarily, is hit by friendly fire, is careless & is consumed by an Azologoth or is eliminated by accident.

KTS has expert contractual staff who can assess situations to determine who is at fault when a unit is eliminated. 

Why hire security? In areas that are not held by Black Faction or by CPD there are many marauders and pirate type operators or gangs who actively seek out Neon Dark, not so much to extract it, but to rob it from people who have already extracted it. 

Doing this in areas where the big companies run the show is suicide however for everywhere else this is a real danger.
