Hello gamers!
For this update there are a lot of total overhaul starting from fog and lighting to one of the areas in the beginning of the game!


First one:
Updating the fog

Overhaul the lighting, the goal is to make it pleasant to look at and so the player doesn't have to squint his eyes to see the stuff on shadows, while still having an ability to have dark shadows and light them artificially when we need it.

From within Gateston:

After discussing with the team and having the ability to customize the lighting to our need with the result we are quite happy with, we decided why not give a go for a different lighting setups, like starting the game during the night and having previously established golden lighting for the time when you reach Gateston, that open whole bunch of interesting experiments and now we have this:



After that the previous quite blunt village was the in our focus, we wanted to add verticality to it and just make it cooler and more fun for a player to traverse, and here what we have so far:



That change also inspired us to add new mechanics with Bear working on combat in general and introduction of range weapons and in combination with narrow bridges of the new village, what if being hit by a range weapon will knock you back.. It might be fun, it is still in the making but it is so much more to our liking,

 Jugger has been working out how the gobbo girls would look like in game, here is some of the progress:

 Here we have Swurst back in action and ready to help Alda gobble it up:

Merc:

Merc has been getting down to business with the blacksmith and getting her started. Everything is still rough but he started by cleaning up the hands and feet further and refining down the toe nails and finger nails. But the update to the mesh will greatly improve the detail and texturing of hands and feet, now and, in future.

 Additionally he was able to layer in the anatomy and start a first pass on the face. Trust The Process. 

He also started to work on the costuming. Building her leather work bra, needs some more details but it's a quality block in, and started the wraps on the upper body. Wraps and bandages are always fun to do, time consuming, but fun. He needs to add the final wraps to her fingers.

Heya gamers! 

I took the goblin shaman model Pac made and gave him public hair. I made it extra thick so I could get away with less individual hairs while still keeping an unmaintained hairy look overall. Rigging the hair was quite difficult because there is a lot of geometry that doesn’t really fit to the bones surrounding it. I did luckily find a way to get them to stick to logical bones in the end! c:

I’ve also done a lot of work on the goblin scout combat logic. He will use a spear and is planned to get a trapping net as well. For now I’ve focussed on the spear. For that I had to implement projectiles in general and I’m pretty happy with how it’s turned out! c:

The spear is spawned at a pre-defined position in the animation and given a velocity in the direction of Alda. If the spear hits a surface that is either one of Alda’s hitboxes or a static object like the floor, the spear is attached to the surface it hit.

The Scout Goblin also has melee animations to use when Alda gets close. My main goal is to make his spear-throw his defining feature though.

Since I had now coded the projectile logic already, I decided to also give the regular goblin enemies an ability to throw rocks at Alda. This should make the combat encounters with them a lot more dynamic. Unlike the spear, the rocks don’t attach to the surface they hit and instead once a surface is hit, they have their physics enabled and a force away from the surface applied, so they bounce off satisfyingly.

Together the three enemies I have coded so far are really beginning to form an interesting combat system! The hyper-aggressive warrior, the cannon-fodder default goblin and the ranged scout all meaningfully fill different roles in encounters!

After having finished the pubic hair for the goblin shaman, I just had to start working on animations for him being lewd with Alda! So I began with a blowjob animation:

This was mostly to test out the rig, which I was quite  happy with! After that, I wanted something that shows off the corrupted Alda vibe even more by being as filthy with the shaman as possible. For that, I had the idea of this animation:

After that, I made yet another animation, this time full on sex. I’m trying to be a lot better about turning the characters in a way that enables the sex-action to be visible much better. In all these animations, Alda is positioned in a way that enables the camera to see the action from one side. This results in a more dynamic pose and a much easier time later on in unreal when trying to frame everything.

For this animation I had the idea of the Goblin Shaman pleasing Alda in two different ways. By sex and by enchanting her mind to be in even more pleasure.

I ended up doing some tech-work on volumetric clouds that are lit by lights creating the godray effect from the spell-circle on the goblin’s hand. After that I just had to make a tiny little cinematic. Idk if this will be used in the end but it didn’t take long to make and was just super fun!

Yet another animation I’m working on is this one. I again wanted to have Alda’s face right next to the filthy Goblin Shaman dick to have a strong contrast.

Just an idea, forgive me for saying this but on the animation, “Goblin Shaman Blowjob”, can his flowing robes be pulled back a few inches while thrusting into Alda’s mouth? The robes only seem to hide what’s being seen. Just a suggestion. You all are doing amazing work. Just glad to be an able to help support such an awesome project.
