After they arrived as blanks ofcourse.
STAR recruited girls for temporary part time work in the zone as security personell. Teaching them basic weapons handling, teaching them mainly about Azologoth & not the fact that were companies that were hostile towards each other.
So the STAR units get trained on Zuvic weaponry only, which are the systems available on the wider market & not the black Faction SBR.
The STAR units are not actual dedicated combat units, they were trained and "on Call". The girls get paid close to double per day (5500 CR) what BFC Standards are paid, however they are deployed only for 1 to 2 months maximum.
STAR did this because they are paid approximately 10000 to 20000CR per day per unit inclusive of fees.
STAR deployed under trained, un disciplined units to combat roles out of pure greed to get the CR rolling in.
The result was as above.
