Starting Your Own BFC Franchise - your sublets

You have a small fortune & decide you would like to enter the zone as one of Black Factions franchisees, you dont have quite enough money yet, but you can start a support business for them. 

You will be providing tech support to external communication facilities. All un-womaned however still targets at times. 

All of them are operated remotely and the communication encryption is managed internally, so the risk of them being captured and used nefariously is low. 

The money is good & the cost for BFC to do it is too high on their own - 

You have to wear Black and the facility needs to identify as a Black Faction aligned site. 

It is 12 kilometres inside what is considered Black Faction held territory but you know CPD runs missions nearby often 

in other words, you need security.

You cannot afford your own standing army of Standard combat units, which is not economical for the operation you are running, but you can afford 4 Sublet combat units to patrol the perimeter and keep watch.

They are not cheap to hire, thousands of Credits each per day, that along with your tech staff sees money going out the door pretty quickly so its smart to get going. 

The first 4 turn up, you pay little attention but cant help notice they turned up with minimal equipment. 

No belts, no packs, no nothing just boots, weapons and a couple of uniforms each. 

They organized themselves, each pair does a 12 hour shift, 6 to 6. 

While the other pair is on patrol, the two off shift will sleep, wash, train physically & drill then sit on standby.

They barely say a word to each other, they dont even say anything to you or your staff. 

3 months in you have been given serial numbers but cannot remember them for the life of you.

One spots an enemy patrol and calls it in, the two off shift rush out of bed and dress faster than you have seen anyone get ready and rush out with their weapons.

Nothing happens, they return to bed, like nothing and go back to sleep. 

you begin to get nervious, you have millions saved now, you could hire more but you want to keep the cash for yourself.

So you request the patrol area to be increased, they ablige. 

the first day into the extended patrol, one gets swollowed by liquid earth - 

The patrol partner calls in "unit expended" as her fellow sublet slides into the ground swollowed whole.

you order a replacement and that afternoon a new one arrives and they continue on.

2 weeks after that incident a CPD patrol comes across our facility, 

they open fire on the patrol, killing one straight away or "expending her" as they call it.

the whole situation is tense and fast, they sublets on rest rush out, the fighting explodes as tat for tat the CPD units and your sublets off each other

three of the 4 you order get taken out, one survives

The BFC sales rep recommends that you order more sublets, which after the encounter with CPD is probably a good idea

But that one sublet who survived, took out two of the CPD patrol units 

if she didnt you and your staff would most certainly be dead, or captured. 

you thank her, she turns and looks blank in the eye "thankyou for letting me serve"

you has her does she want anything special, she responds "use me in more skirms, I love skirms, give me more"

you know skirms are fire fights, she is asking for more
